Applications and letter to prospective participants can be found at the above links and are due no later than June 15th.  Mandatory Royalty and Ambassarod Contestant Meeting will be held on June 15, 2021 starting at 6:00pm in the Della. Interviews & Mandatory Royalty and Ambassador Contestant Meeting will be held on July 6, 2021 starting at 5:30pm in the Della as well as a practice fair even walk through.  Complete guidelines can be found on line in the Madison County Fair Book, Jr. Fair Royalty Section. There will be a Royalty Luncheon on July 11 at 2:30pm in the Della Selsor Building and the Stage Event and Crowning will be July 11 at 5pm.

Changes have been made to our Division Ambassador program. Candidates must be 11-18 years of age (as of Jan. 1 of the current year), be enrolled and an active member in any one or more of 4-H, FFA, Farm Bureau Youth, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, or FCCLA.  They must be active two or more years, including the current year, in the division for which they are applying.  Previous ambassadors are eligible to run again for the same species if no other candidates in that area are available. 

Prince & Princess candidates are ages 11-15.  King and Queen candidates are 16-18 years old.   They must have been an active member for 2 or more years, including the current year in any of these organizations: 4-H, FFA, Farm Bureau Youth, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, or FCCLA.  Royalty cannot hold the title of Prince/Princess, King/Queen twice.  Attendants may run multiple times. 

Candidates may compete for both royalty and ambassador, however, will only be awarded a single title.

All ambassadors and royalty will receive beautiful prize packages.  They will be required to be in attendance at the Madison County Fair to lead tours, assist with shows and other activities.  During the following year they will be visiting other fairs and events.

The Madison County Fair Royalty will be hosting a “Royalty for a Day Contest”.  Boys and girls ages 5-10 may participate.  No stage competition is required.  Participants simply complete and entry form and drop it off at the Jr Fair office by 7PM on Tuesday of fair week.  One boy & one girl will be selected from a drawing to pair up with one of our older Jr Fair Royalty on Wednesday.
