In 2022, volunteer training will be offered in a hybrid format with some virtual and some in-person options.

All returning volunteers must attend 2 trainings: One offered by the county or state level, and the 4-H Club Update (recording available). County level opportunities are listed below, in additional to other local, state and national opportunities such as Ohio 4-H Conference. Please contact the Extension office to make alternative arrangements if the county dates offered will not work.

New volunteers must have their applications submitted by February 1st and attend a new volunteer orientation on February 7th (in-person) or 25th (virtual) at 7pm

  • December 16, 7:00-8:30pm - Coughlin Community Center, Madison County Fairgrounds

  • January 12, 10:00-11:30am OR 7:00-8:30pm - Virtual

  • January 31, 10:00-12:00pm (In-Person) OR 7:00-9:00pm (Virtual) *Required to attend or watch recording in addtion to attending one of the other training options

  • February 15, 7:00-8:30pm - Cloverbud Volunteer Training - Della Selsor Building, Madison County Fairgrounds

  • March 1, 10-11:30am, 7-8:30pm - Virtual
